The Living Boat Trust is committed to the preservation of maritime skills, history and values. One of our major activities is conducting sail and row training to the schools in the region. In 2009 we trained nearly 300 students from the school of the Huon Vally to row and to sail in the On the Water programme (OWP).

The Tasmanian State Labour government committed to continue the OWP as part of their pre-election promises.

We still  undertake sail training claasses for our members, the next day is Sunday July 17 2011
